IT Procurement for internal company needs differs significantly from negotiating with software providers for use in engineering and manufacturing. In this session, we will delve into the unique challenges faced in IT Procurement within this specialized area, drawing valuable insights from industry experiences. You will also learn how to effectively leverage AI to optimize procurement processes and meet internal needs more efficiently.
I’ve had the privilege of having a dream career. I started with a great employer and served for a few years as an IT Engineer Consultant where I led IT applications deployments and lived in the customer relations space. That led to an incredible opportunity with Airbus, where I served as IT Hardware Commodity Manager and led the worldwide IT supplier panel for defense projects. I had the unique opportunity of performing market intelligence for special projects and worked with companies like Dell and Panasonic while living out the business strategies I had the freedom to develop and execute.
From there, I became the Strategic Software Procurement Senior Manager for SAFRAN where I primarily negotiated purchasing software contracts ($2M - $10M+). Currently, and for the last eight years I’ve served as a Strategic Procurement Director for a French Fortune 50 company, Dassault Systèmes, which has allowed me to travel frequently between Paris, San Diego and Boston. I’ve found a niche skillset leveraging my contract negotiation skills for the purpose of IT Procurement, which has led to opportunities to lead customer acquisitions ranging from $50M - $250M. I thoroughly enjoy my work, the relational aspect of it, the global reach and being a part of a spectacular team.
On a more personal level, when I’m not enjoying strategic planning sessions and achieving workplace goals, I am a musician and have traveled the world playing music in front of thousands. It is pure joy. I also enjoy cooking, tennis, volleyball and soccer.
